Southeast Missouri Home Builders Association is a Not for Profit
Professional Organization of builders, suppliers and subcontractors
which provides a forum for education, communication and public
relations to benefit the Building Industry as a whole. The NAHB
is known as “the voice of the housing industry.”
This local organization (along with state and national representation,
www.nahb.com) is continually working to maintain an atmosphere
of excellence in the industry and to set standards in which companies
can thrive in today's challenging market.

The HBA holds regular educational meetings and
seminars for the purpose of continuing education of the members
in technology, practical, and industry skills. We regularly assist
city and county with the establishment of necessary codes and
regulations.
Our yearly goals of informing & educating the general public
are addressed during our yearly home & garden show, public
information spots in local media as well as philanthropic projects
which include: new restroom facilities at playgrounds and children's
designated sports areas, foot bridges in dangerous street crossing
areas, Shriner’s Club, Safety City (to teach bicycle &
street safety), House of Hope Project for Life Skills Education,
Young Life Camps, Habitat for Humanity, Fire Escape Safety House
for local Fire Departments, Historic Louis Lorimier Little Red
House, Relay for Life, Cape Girardeau Police & Fire Depts.,
Jackson Police & Fire Depts, Big Brothers and Big Sisters
of Eastern Missouri, University of Missouri, Rolla, Solar House
Project (yearly), Vision House of Cape Girardeau and Missouri
Veterans Home.
